Edwin Rye came to our November meeting (2014) bringing examples of his favourite plants that flower at this time of year. As usual we were treated to photographs of the plants in the setting of his beautiful garden and he used these and the plant material he had brought with him to illustrate his all time favourites. One of my favourite winter flowering shrubs in my garden is a Viburnum - it was in the garden when I moved in, but I think it could be Viburnum bodnantense "Dawn" - it has clusters of fragrant pick flowers on bare stems from November through winter - see the photo below:
